Yes, donations, contributions, and membership donations are tax deductible. The GIHS is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Contact us for more information.

2. How much does it cost to adopt a pet?

Top

Puppies and Kittens under 6 months of age: $90
Dogs and Cats over 6 months of age: $75

These charges cover all pre-adoption vaccinations, spay / neuter, microchip and one month of free pet insurance.

3. How can I report animal cruelty?

If you know of animals being abused or of questionable care, please contact the Department of Animal Control at the Galveston Police Department at (409) 765-3702.
