By Contributing to the Galveston Island Humane Society Capital Campaign you can help us to build a new home for the many forgotten pets of our island.

The mission of the Galveston Island Humane Society is to provide care, comfort and housing for the homeless animals of our island, to promotoe responsible adoptions, to offer human education programs, to sponsor low cost spay/neuter programs, and to prevent animal cruelty in our community. Countless volunteers and dedicated employeres enable us to continue our essentail work and each year over 3,500 pets come through our front door.

A Modern Facility. For many years the Board of Directors has dreamed of a new building. A modern facility designed to enhance the care and adoption of animals in a safe, healthy and humane environment. With your help we can make this dream become a reality.

THE TREE OF LIFE is a unique way to honor and to remember a beloved pet while helping to lay a firm foundation for a new building that can shelter the homeless and forgotten animals of our island. Our Memory Tree will be erected in the lobby area of our new shelter.
